March is Woman’s History month and TOCO shines a spotlight on women’s talents and gifts while raising money for Tapestry of Community Offerings community and family empowerment programs and the TOCO Textile Pantry which has served thousands of families since opening the doors at 825 West Main Street in Belleville, Illinois. Through referrals from community members, schools, churches, and service agencies, TOCO Shop and Textile Pantry provide subsidized or free clothing, shoes, and housewares to children and families and individuals experiencing hardship. Herstory Weekend offers a unique arts event with a diverse female featured arts and music schedule.

A portion of this year’s proceeds will also go to the TOCO Empowerment Scholarship to SWIC. At TOCO we are committed to helping the underserved find their path through empowerment.

Dear TOCO, I am disabled with four boys to care for on a very low income. The clothing and housewares from the TOCO Textile Pantry help keep our heads above water. Through the generosity of TOCO’s donors, my boys are also learning what it means to give back. — T. Smith of Shiloh, Illinois
